Dad's new car

Dad's new car. I believe it is Ford Focus. He had his first long trip to southern Minnesota yesterday and said it drove like a dream. It also has Sirius radio, which made the driving so much nicer. Next time I will put a picture of dad next to it.

3rd annual bake off

The photos of the top three winners. Roger came in first. He is my boss. I came in second and Linda came in 3rd. It was so much fun. It is nice to have a activity at work to use out creativity.

This was my entry. A strawberry cream cake roll. My first time making a cake roll and it turned out well. I tied for first and came in second and I was actually glad because I came in first the last two years. It tasted delicious and was gone quickly.

I though it was about time that I updated my blog. This is late, but that's OK. Again, I was in charge of the bake-off at work. I used the same props as before with a few additions. It turned out so cute. I was very pleased.

Signs of the Times

As you can see from the following pictures, I had a slow day at work. It was Saturday and since I had to stay to 4 pm and was done at 11:30, creativity took hold and I with a fellow co-worker painted the poles. It was so much fun, but then reality took hold, to what have I done! My boss on the following Tuesday said, so you go early on Saturday, I agree and he said everyone else knew, Busted!!! What was funny was that it was a hit. One of my coworkers said it was like the movie "Elf" where Will Farrell decorates the store while everyone was gone. Even one of the Schneiderman boys like it. Next time I think I better get permission. Anyways I know have a painting job at work, since I like to Paint. I really don't. I get to paint a hall and stairwell, but what will be really fun is, that I plan to create a college of different types of wood in a 3 x 5 foot frame, for the landing. I think it will look great. I have a great job, and they let me use my creativity, which is a bonus.

Hot week

Well, it has been a hot and humid week, especially at work. I felt I was doing good wednesday and thursday, but then friday hit. The temp was a little cooler 90, but it seemed more humid. the day started with a asthma attack, I thought I was over them, and then a long warm, incredibly busy day working with furniture. Just for the heck of it, I decided to weigh myself and I lost two pounds yesterday. Hard to believe, although I know that it will be temporary. I knew my clothes felt heavier from the humidity. Today I am doing fine, after four excedrins and an imitrex, all is well.
