Insurance!!!! Grrrrr!!!!!
Well, we had our yearly renewal insurance meeting at work today, for dental, health, and life. Sticker Shock! My insurance will be raising $140.00 per month. It is kind of hard to swallow. I was feeling underpaid already and this is just plain insanity. Why does health insurance have to be so high? I will be going to paying $710.00/month to $ 850.00./month. Ouch. If I had children on my policy it would be $1500.00/month.

The chair is done
This is the chair I reupholstered. The only thing I kept was the springs as all the foam, burlap and other materials were rottened. I retied the springs and added on the foam, cotton, and burlap for the seat. I tufted the inside back of the chair. This was the first time that I tufted and it turned out pretty good. I am so glad the chair is done. I thought I took before photos, but unfortunately I did not. I hope my friend like her chair

Blackout
What a crazy day. We have been having a lot of severe storms. One being Sunday and Monday night. There was so much lightning and thunder and the winds reached 60 to 70 mph. Getting ready for work today, I noticed that our neighbors tree had lost a very large branch. As I drove to work, I saw many branches on the ground. the ground was littered with leaves and twigs. Going down Cliff Road the lights were out and as I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that the warehouse where I worked was very dark. the city of Burnsville had lost power. After cleaning up the parking lot and doing what we could we opened up the doors to let some light in, and starting to prep the furniture. What a trip that was. The place was very dim, so we resorted using flashlights. What a spectacle we were. About 4 hours later the lights came back on and everything got back to normal. I did enjoy the quiet of the building and the subdued lights and felt interrupted when they came back on. This will be a day we will talk about for some time.
