Week in Review

Well. this has been a very busy week.  Besides work, my family and I have spent a lot of time outdoors.  I should have taken pictures.  Our vegetable garden is in  the process of being fenced in so that we can enjoy our produce, instead of our bunnies, etc.  Also, borrowed a chain saw and cut down some rather large trees which were growing in the lilac shrubs.  One tree was approx. 50 feet tall, which we cut down last night.  What an adventure that was.  Ed cut and Jeff and I pulled the very large branches out.  Our yard looked like a jungle when we were done from all the tree limbs.  Our backyard was also very noisy from the chain saw.  I will have to say the lilacs look nicer.  The garden is coming along.  Approx 10-15 holes for the fence posts, still need to be done.  Jeff has graciously agreed to dig those.  Also with the economy such as it is, I decided to hand till the garden with a shovel.  Lots of hard work, but it paid off, because when I weighed in this morning I had lost five pounds this past week, which brings the total to 11.  WOW! Unfortunately my bike riding has neglected, so as soon as the garden is finished, on the bike I go.  Sometimes there is just not enough hours in the day.
