Across Diffley on the north side of the road in the Cedar Grove area Ed and Granny spotted a fire and of course, I had to check it out. Five firetrucks with about 30 firefighters along with a host of police, paramedics and Channel 9 News. I walked up to the yard next door and an older lady came out and started telling me what happened. First of all, she said "I did not even know their names. They have a dog and three children.

I should say anything, but the couple had been trimming their bushes and was burning them in a above ground firepit. The day was extremely windy and the house started on fire. To me it looked like a total loss. Fire was still inside the home and attic. The pyro in me said it was quite fascinating.
