My Country Garden

Photos from my veggie garden.  I enjoy planting flowers with the veggies.  Add lots of color and delight.  Pictured are my sunflower, that I planted late, but still bloomed.  Zinnias, one of my favorites and cosmos (from the flower seeds that Karen sent me.  Thanks Karen.

The latest of the garden-

As you can see the garden is fenced in, Thanks Jeff, to keep the varmints out, mainly rabbits.  My scarecrow which is named 'Susy Cream Cheese' ( names from one of Jeff''s album of Frank Zappa) keeps an eye on the goods, I have hubbard squash growing and  tons of cantaloupe.

Gardening.

This I did a few days ago.  But gardening has started.  Broke in my new gardening gloves (thanks Karen) and planted some Marigolds in front garden.

Lilacs. How lovely.  I discovered that I actually have a white lilac bush by the maple tree.  The flowers are very near the top.
