Cycling
Discovered a new trail today. I started at the Big River Trail in Mendota Hgts, but instead of biking to Harriett Island, I took the trail to Minnehaha Falls, cycling on the Mendota Bridge. The trail brings you close to Fort Snelling and as I was passing the Fort Snelling Chapel, the bells were ringing. Very nice. It was so fun to try a new trail. It was only 10,5 miles round trip. I plan on exploring more trails. It was so fun!

Big River Bike Trail
Beatiful Autumn Colors
The trail ends here, as you can see the road is under water, by the Lilydale Yacht Club. Was not able to make it to Harriet Island.
The Minnesota River Valley. The sun is setting. What a beautiful sight! How I love the bike trails in Minnesota.

Around the Lakes
Some photos from my bike ride around the lakes this morning. One of my favorite stops is to check out the Perennial Garden by Lake Harriett. I receive inspiration there. The ride was great. I am so thankful for all the bike trails and parks in Minnesota.

Bike Ride by the Minnesota River
So Jeff and I decided to take a ride on my favorite trail by the river. We traveled about two miles and the trail was flooded by the gorged river. Boy, where we surprised! It is not often I am able to go on a ride by the river and what are the odds that the trail would be flooded. The trail is the watery path on the right.

Gateway Bike Trail
Well, Kristina and I went on a 38.12 bike ride today from North St. Paul to North of Stillwater. We had a great time. We left around 9:30 to get to the trail head and embarked on the trail around 10 am. Dad met us at Point Lake County Park with a picnic lunch. That was the halfway part of our trip. We travel about 10 miles and hour, so we biked for almost 4 hours. Kristina definitely has more stamina than I do. We made it and am glad we did, but are not impressed to go on the tail again, as the only scenery was trees with a few farms. Now we are both nursing dizziness and headaches as we did not drink enough water, so we will be taking it cool tonight.
