Twins v White Sox Game
Ed and I were able to go to the Twins game thursday eve courtesy of Schneiderman's. We had great seats, along the third base line. The first inning Twins scored a run and the crowd was thrilled. Fourth inning and the White Sox scored 6 runs. We were of course a little discouraged. There was a white sox fan sitting a couple of rows ahead of us, and when the Sox scored the runs, he stood and clapped, glouted and said "We are Back"! Actually it was annoying. Well the Twins came through and was able to tie up the game during the 8th inning. By that time the crowd in the Metrodome was ecstatic. The game was tied till the bottom of the 10th inning when Casilla(?) got our man home. The crowd literally erupted. Many hugs and high fives, I have not heard that volume of noise for quite some time. It made for quite an exciting evening. We often do not get to go to a Twins game so this was quite a treat. Bedtime did not arrive til midnight, so after a short night it was back to work. But the sleep deprivation was worth all the fun and excitement.
