4th of July Activities

No photos, but I thought I would update on what we did. We actually started thursday, July 3 and went to the Taste of Minnesota. We saw part of the concert by REO Speedwagon. Unfortunately we only recognized two songs while we were there, the rest were all new music. I guess we like the old stuff. The weather was gorgeous, it was warm, no bugs and limited humidity. The view of the river from the bridge was breathtaking. At 9:30 pm the boats were already stating to line up for the fireworks. We needed to pick up Jeff, so we missed them. On the fourth, we went to Eagan 4th of July parade. Dad and I got a lot of sun, of course he browned and I have the nice red glow, but at least I have some color. We decided to go to Fort Snelling in the afternoon and had a wonderful time. We toured all the buildings, saw a play and heard a commencence speech on the fourth with canons afterwords. We have never been there, which I am sad to say, but it was will worth it. In fact you will find us there the first week of August where they put on a Civil War demonstration. We needed to have some refreshment so we grabbed Jeff and went to Ring Mountain and had some yummy ice cream. In the evening we went to the Eagan fireworks and were not disappointed. It was then to bed as I had to go to work it the morning.

Sounds like you had so much fun! You guys covered a lot of stuff! I'm with you, I like the old REO and if it makes you feel better I wouldn't recognize their new stuff, either. Maybe you'll get a little tan out of the glow :)
